QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited college or university;
- Valid Texas Teacher certificate;
- Valid Administrative certificate, preferred;
- General knowledge of coaching techniques and strategies;
- Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and regulations;
- Head coach of a female sport, preferred;
- A minimum of three (3) years of coaching experience;
- Demonstrates positive leadership in working with diverse students, staff, families and communities.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Probationary/Term Contract: 187 days

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist Campus Athletic Coordinator (CAC) with the administration of the campus high school athletic program in accordance with CFISD athletic objectives and guidelines.
- Assist with the management and supervision of all athletic activities on campus. Directly supervise games and contests as assigned by the Campus Athletic Coordinator.
- Work toward unifying, communicating and solving problems involving athletics on campus.
- Assist the Campus Athletic Coordinator (CAC) with the preparation necessary to effectively host all athletic department events hosted on the campus and assist with additional district tournaments/meets/activities as assigned by the district athletic department.
- Assist the campus athletic department, school administration and the athletic department in the hiring of all coaches with an emphasis on the hiring of coaches in the female athletic program.
- Assist the Campus Athletic Coordinator (CAC) with the assigning of coaches to various responsibilities.
- Supervise coaches in their assignments and work with staff to ensure positive development and progress of all coaches and athletic programs on campus.
- Assist with the evaluation process of campus coaches, programs and processes.
- Coordinate, with approval of the campus athletic coordinator, the UIL and CFISD mandated beginning of the year coaches training and paperwork process.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of UIL rules and regulations. Help to ensure that all coaches are aware and in compliance with all UIL and CFISD policies.
- Screen all CFISD UIL Compliance forms for adherence to UIL and CFISD rules and expectations.
- Assist Campus Athletic Coordinator (CAC) and district athletic department with the dissemination of information as needed.
- Assist with the oversight of the proper care, maintenance, and scheduling of all campus athletic fields and facilities
- Assist with the instruction and advisement of students on NCAA regulations and academic requirements for scholarships.
- Attend athletic department meetings as scheduled and campus athletic program preseason meetings as assigned.
- Assist coaches with the transportation and travel requests process for all programs.
- Attend the All Sports Booster Club meetings as needed.
- Assist with the coordination of athletic banquets and award presentations on each campus.
- Monitor junior high implementation of philosophies, schemes, strategies, techniques, sills, offenses and defenses as stressed by the high school head coach.
- Purchasing Process Coordinator – Responsible for overseeing the athletic purchasing process for each sport.
- Perform administrative duties as assigned by the principal, athletic department or campus athletic coordinator.
- Maintain CPR/First Aid/AED.
- Yearly UIL certification (CCP) and requirements.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional district wide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours. Occasional exposure to the outdoors and noise.
