Role Overview:

The Senior BI is a hands-on individual contributor role within NetBet’s Business Intelligence function, responsible for ensuring the business uses trusted, well-governed data to make better strategic and day-to-day decisions. The role owns the end-to-end reporting and insight capability in Tableau, centralising data sources, defining standards, and delivering clear, actionable analysis for stakeholders across all departments.

The role works closely with the CFO and financial team to support financial reporting requirements and build dashboards for management, auditors, and regulatory bodies. In addition, the Senior BI ensures reporting outputs are accurate, consistent, and aligned with NetBet’s commercial goals, operational performance needs, and compliance requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support yearly projections and targets by providing robust analysis and data-driven input for business planning.
  • Gather, validate, and prepare data required for financial and regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Act as a key BI contact for the CFO, Finance team, and external auditors, supporting audit queries and reporting requirements.
  • Build dashboards for financial reporting to management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Analyse website activity and CRM campaigns to generate actionable insights for the CRM team and optimize customer engagement.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize dashboards in Tableau to visualize key business KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Monitor and report acquisition spending and performance across all marketing channels to assess ROI and improve efficiency.
  • Support fraud prevention and risk management teams by identifying unusual gameplay and transaction patterns.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security are maintained across all BI processes and tools, by documenting BI processes, data definitions, and reporting methodologies to ensure audit readiness and continuity.
  • Manage and document change requests related to data, KPIs, and reporting logic in line with governance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate recurring reports and streamline data flows.
  • Stay informed on BI trends and technologies to continuously improve the company’s data capabilities.

Person Specifications:

Hard Skills

Must-have:

  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau (dashboard creation, data visualization, system maintenance).
  • Strong command of SQL and relational database structures.
  • Proven experience in data modelling, forecasting, and KPI tracking.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, ETL tools, and large-scale data processing.
  • Understanding of data governance, privacy, and regulatory reporting requirements.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience in iGaming or online entertainment analytics.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Power BI, or similar tools.
