BitFire is currently seeking a Broadcast Technician to join our Technical Operations team. This full-time, entry-level position is based in our Hudson, MA office.
Role Description As a Broadcast Technician, you will focus on live video production in a fast-paced, high-tech broadcast environment. You will work side-by-side with a team building next-gen solutions for major productions across sports, news, and entertainment. We are looking for a motivated team player with a strong interest in live multi-camera workflows, video routing, and television broadcast who thrives under pressure, communicates clearly, and is eager to grow their technical expertise across production technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality control for on-air transmissions from our 24/7 Network Operations Center
- Support live and scheduled productions with setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Assist with the technical execution of live events and coordinate with production teams
- Operate and monitor SDI and IP-based production infrastructure
- Work closely with clients and partners to ensure seamless broadcast operations
- Support daily operational tasks and cross-department initiatives
Qualifications
- Familiarity with multi-camera live production environments
- Basic knowledge of broadcast systems such as SDI routers, intercom, audio, and video workflows
- Basic understanding of networking and computers
- Previous experience in live television, video production, or technical theatre (student or professional)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Self-starter with a willingness to take initiative and support team goals
- Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.)
Working Conditions & Schedule
- A flexible schedule is required, including availability for nights and weekends to support live productions and 24/7 operations
- The work environment is a fast-paced, high-tech broadcast facility and Network Operations Center
