Boys Varsity Soccer Head Coach

New Heights Charter School is Massachusetts only public school that involves all grades (6-12) in the Early College approach. Nearly all our 11th and 12th graders are full-time students on a college campus with younger students earning college credits at the school. We support our staff with a wide array of professional development opportunities and coaching.Position SummaryUnder the direct supervision of the Athletic Director, the Boys Varsity Soccer head coach is responsible for developing a competitive, disciplined, and character-driven soccer program. The coach will teach fundamental skills, develop game strategies, and implement physical training necessary for individual and team success. Additionally, the coach must emphasize and model behaviors that promote inclusion, character development, self-discipline, teamwork, self-confidence, and sportsmanship. This position collaborates with an assistant and middle school coaches to ensure consistency and alignment throughout the program.Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree
• National Federation of High Schools Coaches Association Member
• Knowledge of soccer fundamentals, techniques, tactics, and player development principles.
• Previous coaching and/or playing experience in soccer.
• Experience working with diverse student-athlete populations in an educational setting.
• Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and motivate student-athletes toward academic, athletic, and personal success.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with coaches, athletic department personnel, school administrators, and families.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the institution’s requirements for operating school vehicles.
• Successful completion of all required background checks and employment screenings.
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification prior to the start of the season (must be provided to the Athletic Director).
• Completion of all required MIAA coaching education requirements, including Concussion Education Training (must be provided to the Athletic Director).
