Boys Varsity Soccer Assistant Coach

New Heights Charter School is Massachusetts only public school that involves all grades (6-12) in the Early College approach. Nearly all our 11th and 12th graders are full-time students on a college campus, with younger students earning college credits while attending school. Our educators and coaches work collaboratively to support students academically, socially, emotionally, and athletically as they prepare for college and career success.Position SummaryUnder the direct supervision of the Head Varsity Soccer Coach, the Varsity Assistant Soccer Coach is responsible for supporting the development of a competitive, disciplined, and character-driven soccer program. The assistant coach will assist in teaching technicaland tactical skills, preparing athletes for competition, and fostering an environment that promotes inclusion, leadership, teamwork, accountability, and sportsmanship. The coach will serve as a positive role model while supporting the academic, social-emotional, andathletic growth of student-athletes.Required Qualifications

• National Federation of High Schools Coaches Association Member
• Knowledge of soccer fundamentals, techniques, tactics, and player development principles.
• Previous coaching and/or participation experience.
• Ability to teach, mentor, and motivate student-athletes for personal, academic, and athletic success.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with coaches, athletic department staff, and school administration.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to qualify under the institution’s insurance carrier when operating school vehicles.
• Successful completion of required background checks and coaching certifications.
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
• Concussion Education Training.
