Job Summary:
Cosmos Sports is hiring a Bag Designer who will be responsible for designing and developing functional, trend-driven bags and accessories aligned with brand aesthetics and commercial goals. The role involves concept creation, material selection, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and market-relevant products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop bag collections (backpacks, duffels, gym bags, sling bags, and accessories) aligned with brand positioning.
- Create concepts, sketches, and prototypes with a focus on functionality, durability, and style.
- Translate market trends and consumer insights into commercially viable designs.
- Select appropriate materials, trims, and hardware that balance aesthetics, performance, and cost.
- Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, and procurement teams to align designs with business and costing goals.
- Develop detailed tech packs, CADs, and specifications for each design.
- Oversee sample development and iterations to ensure product quality and finish standards.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of bag construction, materials, and design techniques.
- Ability to create sketches, mock-ups, and digital renderings.
- Knowledge of fabrics, trims, zippers, and hardware used in bags.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong commercial awareness and trend interpretation skills.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Degree in Fashion Design, Accessory Design, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in bag/accessory design.
- Experience working with vendors and product development cycles.
- Strong understanding of functional design and usability.
- Good presentation and technical documentation skills.
