Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive injury assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for athletes of all levels
- Provide immediate care for acute injuries during practices and competitions, ensuring swift and effective response
- Implement injury prevention strategies through education, conditioning programs, and proper technique coaching
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) to document assessments, treatments, progress notes, and injury reports accurately
- Collaborate with coaches, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate athlete care and rehabilitation efforts
- Administer CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and basic life support procedures in emergency situations
- Stay current with advancements in hyperbaric medicine and other relevant treatment modalities to enhance athlete recovery options
Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to sports medicine and injury management
- Certification in CPR and basic life support to ensure readiness for emergency response
- Experience managing electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently and securely
- Knowledge of hyperbaric medicine applications for advanced injury treatment is a plus
- Strong communication skills to educate athletes on injury prevention and recovery techniques
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in high-stakes environments while maintaining attention to detail
