TITLE: ATHLETIC TRAINER

The High School Athletic Trainer is responsible for the comprehensive management of the health and well-being of student-athletes within Yelm Community Schools. This pivotal role encompasses injury prevention, assessment, immediate and ongoing care, and rehabilitation. The Athletic Trainer serves as a critical liaison among medical professionals, school staff, families, and coaches, ensuring the delivery of high-quality sports medicine services and the maintenance of a safe and healthy athletic environment. This position is an integral part of the district’s health services team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred
Valid Washington State Athletic Training Licensure, or the ability to obtain licensure prior to the start of employment
Board Certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (BOC)
Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience as an athletic trainer, preferred
Demonstrated ability in leadership and development
Certificates/Licenses/Special Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurability

Pay: $33.16 – $40.33 per hour
