Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Athletic Trainer (ATC) to join our growing team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced physical therapists and sports medicine professionals to provide high-quality athletic training services in both clinical and outreach settings to surrounding communities. You will play a key part in helping athletes and active individuals across the Tri-State area prevent injuries, recover from setbacks, and perform at their best. This role also includes supporting the clinic’s recovery services and offers the opportunity to contribute to our industrial rehabilitation division.
Responsibilities
● Evaluate and treat athletic injuries and musculoskeletal conditions
● Develop and implement injury prevention programs
● Provide pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation support
● Collaborate with physical therapists, physicians, and coaching staff
● Deliver on-site athletic training coverage for local schools or sporting events
● Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
● Educate athletes, patients, and families on injury prevention, recovery, and wellness
● Assist with therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques
● Maintain supplies, equipment, and treatment areas
● Support and assist with recovery services, including post-workout and post-injury recovery programs
● Opportunity to contribute to the industrial rehabilitation division: supporting return-to-work programs, workplace injury prevention, pre-employment post offer screenings
Qualifications
Required:
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-accredited program
● BOC (Board of Certification) certified or eligible
● Iowa Athletic Training licensure or eligibility
● Current CPR/AED certification
Preferred:
● Experience in an outpatient orthopedic or sports medicine setting
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills
● Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
