Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Athletic Programme Manager to lead a Jockey Club (JC)-funded basketball initiative designated to empower youth aged 8 to 16 across four districts. Please join us in transforming lives through basketball.

This role will be the driving force behind the programme’s strategy, quality and growth. The incumbent will liaise with different stakeholders such as community partners, sports academies, and families to create a lasting impact on the next generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the basketball development programme across 4 districts in the ICYSC of BGCA.
  • Supervise programme delivery, ensuring quality training and consistent standards
  • Coordinate with basketball academy, NGOs, community centres and stakeholders to foster a cohesive development and enhancement of the programme
  • Oversee the creation of age-appropriate training modules that build a clear skill-proficiency pathway for young athletes
  • Organize tournaments and leagues, and lead the coordination of overseas exchange programmes to broaden the horizons of our youth
  • Engage parents to support holistic youth development
  • Manage overall administrative duties including the monitoring of programme performance, preparing reports for the Jockey Club Charities Trust Fund, budget tracking and financial reporting, and ensuring smooth coordination with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any disciplines, preferably in Sports Management, Physical Education, Social Work or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in programme or sports development with proven track record in developing and managing a programme
  • Strong knowledge of basketball training and C&Y programmes
  • Experience in coordinating or managing overseas exchange programmes is an advantage
  • Proven working experience in NGOs or community organizations
  • Demonstrated ability in Strategy & Leadership – including programme planning, stakeholder management, and team supervision
  • Ability to manage cross-border coordination and logistics
  • Fluent in Cantonese and English
