Role Description The Athlete Growth & Ambassador Program Intern will support initiatives that expand LaceUP’s athlete community and enhance the ambassador program. This internship role is hybrid, with the flexibility to complete part of the work from home. Day-to-day tasks include engaging with current and prospective athlete users, assisting in outreach campaigns, and coordinating with ambassadors to drive platform adoption. The intern will help organize events and online activations, gather feedback from athletes, and contribute ideas to improve user experience and program effectiveness. Additional responsibilities may include creating basic marketing materials, tracking engagement metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional team members to support community growth.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in athlete development, career transition, and community-building for student-athletes and professionals.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse athlete and partner audiences.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks, events, and outreach activities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of social media, digital communities, and grassroots marketing tactics to drive engagement and growth.
- Comfort working in a hybrid setting, with the ability to collaborate both in person and virtually.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take initiative in recommending improvements to programs and processes.
- Background as a current or former student-athlete, or experience working with athletes, is highly beneficial.
- Enrollment in or completion of coursework in business, marketing, sports management, communications, or a related field is preferred.
