Assistant Varsity Bowling Coach

Summary
Lewisburg Area High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our athletic program as an Assistant Varsity Bowling Coach for the upcoming season. This seasonal position requires a commitment to fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes, promoting teamwork, skill development, and sportsmanship. The ideal candidate will work closely with the head coach to support the team’s goals and enhance the overall bowling program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting daily practice sessions and team meetings.
• Provide instruction and guidance to student-athletes on bowling techniques, strategies, and game rules.
• Help develop and implement training programs that enhance individual and team performance.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of student-athletes, providing feedback and support to improve their skills.
• Support the organization and execution of team events, including matches, tournaments, and fundraising activities.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team matters.
• Assist in maintaining team equipment and ensuring a safe practice environment.
• Attend all team practices, competitions, and relevant meetings throughout the season.

Requirements

• Previous experience in coaching or playing bowling at a high school or collegiate level is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of bowling techniques, strategies, and rules of the game.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with student-athletes, parents, and staff.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes while promoting teamwork and a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends during the bowling season.
• A commitment to the academic and personal development of student-athletes.
