Assistant Track and Field Coach

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the head coach in planning and leading practices, instructing athletes in event specific techniques, and implementing individualized performance plans.

• Makes recommendations to the head coach for purchasing equipment.

• The coach will at all times conduct themselves in a manner that will set a good example for students to follow on and off the field.

• Effectively communicate with the athletic director, head coach, parents, players, and administrators.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: • Prior successful coaching experience at the high school level.

• First Aid and CPR certification is required for coaching. • Bus driver certification preferred.

• A proven track record with age appropriate skill and program development is preferred.
• Knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
• Relates well with students and other high school programs to promote school and community spirit.

Salary: Supplemental based on District Athletic Scale
