Position Summary Information
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Softball Coach with the leadership, administration, and daily operation of the softball program.
- Recruit, retain, and develop student-athletes in accordance with NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations.
- Assist with practice planning, skill instruction, player development, and team training activities.
- Assist with game preparation, scouting, opponent analysis, and competition management.
- Support the coordination of team travel, equipment, scheduling, and operational logistics.
- Promote academic achievement, personal development, and overall well-being of student-athletes.
- Assist with organizing and conducting camps, clinics, and other program-related events.
- Support fundraising, community engagement, and alumni outreach initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and University policies and procedures.
- Maintain positive relationships with student-athletes, faculty, staff, alumni, and community stakeholders.
- Collaborate with athletics administration and campus partners to support departmental goals and initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Softball Coach or Director of Athletics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Demonstrated coaching, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of collegiate athletics operations and NCAA regulations
Salary
Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.

- Demonstrated coaching, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of collegiate athletics operations and NCAA regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred
- Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred
- Experience in recruiting, student-athlete development, and program operations
- Working knowledge of NCAA and conference rules and regulations
