Assistant Program Specialist – RCF Academy

JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Program Director plays a key role in coordinating and supporting all the on-the-court elements within the Rose City Futsal Academy at both locations. This includes assisting in the management of Youth Academy, Soccer Stars, Adult Academy, Camps, and Youth Academy Teams.
Reporting directly to the Program Director and collaborating closely with the Technical Director and the Administrative Team, the Assistant Program Director ensures high-quality curriculum development, coaching standards, and an exceptional experience for players and their families.
This is a dual-role position that requires a balance of hands-on futsal coaching and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, both in person and in writing, with the ability to listen to community needs, support and motivate staff, and partner with RCF leadership to continuously enhance program offerings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Futsal Coaching for All Levels and Ages
● Supporting the management and success of our coaching staff
- Setting and upholding RCF coaching standards
- Assist in training and oversight of coaches
- Assist in conducting coaches’ reviews (mid-season, end-of-season)
- Assist in coordinating coverage for coaches
- Collect coaching availability as needed for Academy programming
- Communicate with coaches regarding court assignments and curriculum for programming
- Observation and evaluation of players for advancement in programming
● Academy Court set up: Curriculum/roster printing, setting up clipboards, setting up courts
● Camp Management: pre-camp set-up, check-in/check-out, and camp supervision
● Support the seasonal Academy Teams program
● Build and develop curriculum as needed for Academy programs (SS, YA, AA, Camps)
● Communicate and work closely with Program Directors regarding needs and ideas that can improve offerings to our community
● Be hospitable to coworkers and the community
● Assist with off-site community events
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma | College Degree Preferred
- CPR, AED, First Aid certification
- Advanced Coaching Experience specific to Futsal and/or Soccer
- Futsal Coaching/Playing experience preferred
- Google Suite
- Customer Service Experience
- Management Experience Preferred
RCF TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND SUPPORT FOR, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Session Planner (Curriculum builder)
- EZFacility (Facility Management Software)
- Humanity (Staff Scheduling Software)
- FreshDesk (Customer Ticket System)
- Playmetrics (Team Communication)
PAY STRUCTURE & SCHEDULE
● $42,000 – $46,000 Annual Salary
● Benefits including: Healthcare, Dental, and Vision, are available after 90 days of employment
- + additional RCF employee perks
● 12 Paid Time Off Days
- Inclusive of 4 Fixed Days (December 25th, January 1st, Thanksgiving, July 4th)
● Hours – Full Time (40/hr weekly) as overseen by Program Director
- Approximately 20 weekly coaching hours are required
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
● Primarily Monday through Friday
- Some Evening/Weekend flexibility required
- Weekend coaching required during Winter I / Winter II
● Seasonal flexibility required
● This is an in-person position
● Afternoon/Evenings are required for this position – specific to class hours for coaching shifts
● Travel is required between RCF locations in Portland and Tigard
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 – $46,000.00 per year
