Role Overview:
Manage existing syndication deals, client servicing, handle operations and contribute towards revenue achievement of Syndication business at Jiostar Sports. The role includes closing contracts, collecting revenue, ensuring obligations and compliances are met, co-ordination with internal stakeholders. The person will also be responsible for growth of revenue, source market intel and finding new opportunities for the syndication business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage client relationships with global broadcast partners, key clients and maximize business opportunities.
- Work on the overall strategy of the business as well as planning on all new deals.
- Negotiate contracts on the best possible terms for the company with a keen understanding of client goals, target audiences, budgets, market landscape and competitive understanding.
- Effectively managing planning, tracking, marketing, reporting, invoicing, collection, payments, closing contracts, marketing deliverables and servicing of all deals.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders – Finance, Legal, Strategy and Marketing.
- Keeping the team updated on the market trends and competitive landscape for better planning and future proofing.
- Stay current on new media opportunities / tools / trends / competitive landscape for the business.
- Maximize revenue and explore new business opportunities for the Sports business.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in media, content sales, or rights management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in P&L management and commercial decision-making.
- Understanding of the content rights ecosystem and basic contract structures.
- Experience in Digital and/or Linear media sales, including content licensing models.
- Process-driven with strong operational execution capabilities.
- Strong research and market evaluation skills.
- Exposure to international content sales is preferred; domestic experience is also acceptable.
