ABOUT THE JOB
If you are passionate about aquatics and looking for a great place to work, North Vancouver Recreation and Culture wants you! We are currently looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to help provide safe and enjoyable swimming experiences at any of our four pool locations.
DUTIES:The position works closely with a superior and oversees the safe use of pool features such as waterslides, rope swings and other play equipment; leads aquatics games and activities; sets up program equipment and supplies; supports minor first aid emergencies; and performs minor cleaning duties.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Completion of Grade 9, supplemented by courses in lifesaving, first aid and aquatics related experience; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check as a requirement of the position and must be prepared to work at any of our facilities. The pay for this unionized auxiliary position starts at step 1, $25.22 and ranges up to $29.48 per hour (2024 rates), plus 12% in lieu of benefits. This is an auxiliary position with varying hours including days, evenings and weekends.
