Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant General Manager located in Chicago, IL. The Assistant General Manager will oversee daily operations to ensure a seamless and motivational gym experience for members. Responsibilities include managing staff performance, driving member engagement, developing strategies to achieve business goals, ensuring the facility operates in compliance with company standards, and upholding exceptional customer service. The role will also involve fostering a positive team culture, coordinating member events, and contributing to overall gym growth.

Qualifications

  • Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop staff
  • Knowledge of fitness operations, budgeting, and sales strategies
  • Customer service and relationship-building skills to engage and support members effectively
  • Organizational and problem-solving abilities for managing schedules, operations, and member concerns
  • Fluency in fitness industry trends and familiarity with MMA or group training is a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or management role, ideally in the fitness or service industry
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, or a related field is preferred
