Assistant Cross Country Coach
Mt. Blue High School
Job Goal(s): To support the head coach in managing a competitive running program. Key responsibilities include designing training plans, leading daily practices, monitoring athlete progress, ensuring compliance with athletic regulations, and coordinating meet logistics.
Qualifications
Comprehensive knowledge of daily practices, warm-ups, and cool-downs while providing technical instruction on running form, pacing, and endurance. Knowledge of NFHS and MPA rules. Demonstrate ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.
Certifications
Valid CHRC
Performance Responsibilities
Education
The coach must be at least 20 years of age, or a high school graduate.
Experience
Previous competitive experience in cross country or track at the high school or collegiate level, and prior coaching experience is preferred.

Travel Requirements
Reports To: Director of Athletics / Head Coach
Terms of Employment: As determined annually by the District.
Evaluation: Completed annually by Director of Athletics
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
