Join Our Team! Assistant Cross Country Coach
The School District of Mishicot is seeking a positive, enthusiastic, and student-centered Assistant Cross Country Coach to join our athletic program.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping student-athletes develop not only as runners, but as leaders, teammates, and individuals.
Responsibilities
As the Assistant Cross Country Coach, you will work alongside the Head Coach to:
- Assist with planning and leading practices and competitions
- Help develop student-athletes’ skills, sportsmanship, teamwork, and character
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive team culture
- Encourage academic success, responsibility, and respectful behavior
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, and team activities
- Communicate effectively with athletes, families, coaching staff, and school personnel
- Support compliance with School District, WIAA, and NFHS rules and expectations
- Assist with equipment, meet preparation, record keeping, and other program needs
- Model professionalism, integrity, and positive sportsmanship at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Previous coaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of cross country or distance running is preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to student safety, personal growth, and athletic development
