Position Overview
Marquette University seeks an assistant coach to support the Head Coach in the overall development and advancement of the Women’s Lacrosse program. The role includes instruction of players, scheduling practices and game travel, collaborating with academic advisors, and supporting the academic success of student‑athletes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group instruction on rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of lacrosse.
- Schedule practices, team travel, and team events.
- Assist in the coordination of recruiting, camps, events, and donor relations.
- Use video analysis to develop individual training plans and scout opponents.
- Guide and evaluate student employees, interns, and volunteers.
- Monitor sportsmanship and conduct of student‑athletes on and off the court.
- Manage own P‑card transactions and expense reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience (including coaching) and 3 years of experience playing lacrosse.
- Prior experience playing or coaching at Division I lacrosse and/or professional level preferred.
