Position: Full-Time Assistant Athletic Therapist Position
Contribute to student-athlete health and performance as a Full-Time Assistant Athletic Therapist at Acadia University. This role focuses on injury management and rehabilitation in a team-centered environment.
The successful candidate will work in a vibrant athletics department focused on supporting varsity student-athletes from August to April. You will utilize your strong background in health sciences, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure athlete safety and performance. The position requires interaction with coaches and healthcare professionals, making your role vital to the overall success of student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide medical coverage for practices and home games
• Assess and rehabilitate athletic injuries of varsity teams
• Collaborate closely with coaches and strength staff
• Mentor Athletic Therapy Option students
• Maintain organizational and operational efficiencies in the clinic
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences or related field
• Minimum 2 years related professional experience
• Certified member of Canadian Athletic Therapists Association
• Valid Standard First Aid and First Responder Certifications
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
