Overview
Southwest DeKalb High School is seeking a motivated Track and Field Head Coach who has a passion for working with high school students. The ideal candidate should have excellent instructional delivery skills and the ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of the Principal and the Head Coach in the sport that you express an interest.
- Assist the Head Coach in game techniques and strategies to prepare them for competition.
- Determine the need for individual or team improvement.
- Accept directions from the Head Coach at all times.
- Assist with maintaining inventory of athletic equipment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of first aid techniques.
- Maintain locker room and playing facilities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience and knowledge coaching sports preferred.
- Georgia High School Association Lay Coaching Certificate required.
- Valid certificate in first aid required.
Additional Information
Community Coaches are temporary positions and must be renewed annually.
