Lead aquatic services for diverse programs as a Community Program Supervisor in Markham, Ontario. Supervise, mentor, and manage staff while ensuring safety and excellence in aquatics.
As an integral part of the area team, you will oversee the administration of aquatics programs including lifeguarding, learn to swim classes, and recreational drop-ins. Your responsibilities will include staff recruitment, training, and performance management, as well as maintaining facility safety according to regulations. Additionally, you will assist with budget monitoring and promotional material preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee aquatics services within a defined community portfolio
• Ensure facility safety per City of Markham and TSSA regulations
• Recruit, hire, and train part-time staff and volunteers
• Administer and monitor program operating budgets
• Plan and implement various aquatics programs
Requirements:
• Post secondary education in Recreation or related field
• 1-3 years of aquatics experience required
• Current Lifesaving Society certification mandatory
• Availability for weekend and evening shifts
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
