About Us
SafeSplash is dedicated to creating safer, stronger swimmers while fostering a fun and supportive environment for families and staff alike. We’re seeking a passionate Aquatic Director to join our leadership team and help oversee program quality, instructor training, and customer experience.
Position Overview
The Aquatic Director is a part-time professional management role (up to 35 hours/week) responsible for leading swim instruction standards, training staff, supporting location managers, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. This position offers strong growth potential for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example as a high-level swim instructor (minimum 2 shifts per week)
- Ensure curriculum is taught consistently and students progress through skill levels
- Create and oversee training programs for all instructors, including new hire onboarding, ongoing training, and quarterly evaluations
- Partner with location managers to monitor student progress, skill tracking, and customer satisfaction
- Assist in planning CPR/Lifeguard trainings and obtain LGI certification (company-paid)
- Support customer service initiatives, community engagement, and business growth efforts
- Recruit, train, and motivate team members to maintain a high-performing staff
- Help coordinate yearly holiday closures and staff scheduling
Requirements
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and a flexible schedule (Monday–Saturday)
- Strong computer skills
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (provided if not current)
- Annual curriculum certifications (Abuse Prevention, Concussion, Coassemble – provided)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aquatics or aquatic program management
- Swim instruction experience
- Background working with children and families
- Basic knowledge of pool maintenance (or willingness to learn)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
