About the Role:
Join our dynamic, values-driven team as an Aquatics Assistant/Manager, where your energy and dedication will help foster a safe, encouraging, and welcoming environment for families and staff alike. In this vital role, you will work closely with the Aquatics Director to oversee daily operations ranging from mentoring/managing instructors and tracking student progress to ensuring the highest standards of pool maintenance.
Beyond operational support, you will be a key presence on the pool deck, teaching swim lessons to children using a structured, developmentally appropriate curriculum. We are looking for a proactive team player who can balance high-level guest services with a hands-on approach to safety, ensuring every visitor has a positive and fun experience at our facilities

What You’ll Do
- Assist Aquatics Director including mentoring/leading instructors, tracking student progress, pool maintenance and more!
- Monitor pool activity to ensure safety protocols are followed
- Participates in professional development meetings with management team
- Teach swim lessons to children using a structured, developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Create a safe, fun, and encouraging environment for families and staff
- Work as part of a supportive, values-driven team

Qualifications
- Must be 18+
- Previous managerial experience (bonus points 2+ years)
- Previous swim instructor experience (2+ years)
- Ability to obtain lifeguard certification (bonus points if already certified)
- Ability to stand/teach for up to 5 hours at a time
- Ability to lift a small child/equipment up to 70 pounds
- Available 5 days/week, including a weekend day
- Willing to commit to a minimum of one year
- Must be available to work at either our current NW Tucson or Future Vail Location (Coming Spring 2027)

Pay: $20.40 – $24.10 per hour
