Be part of the vital lifeguarding team as an Aquatic Lifeguard and Swim Instructor with the Parks Recreation and Environmental Services. This role combines safety, education, and community engagement.
In this auxiliary position, you will ensure participant safety during various aquatic activities while effectively instructing programs. You will need to maintain pool cleanliness and assist with events, relaying safety information to patrons. Your ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, is necessary to meet operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide lifeguard services during aquatic activities
• Educate participants in a safe and enjoyable manner
• Support special events related to aquatics
• Ensure cleanliness around the pool area
• Comply with all CRD policies and procedures
Requirements:
• Acceptable criminal record check required
• National Lifeguard Certificate needed
• Water Safety Instructor certification mandatory
• Some relevant experience preferred
• Knowledge of emergency procedures essential
