We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and people-focused Gym Manager to oversee the daily operations of a growing All-Star Cheer and Competitive Gymnastics facility. This position is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves youth sports, and has the ability to balance customer service, staff leadership, financial accountability, and operational excellence.
Position Summary
The Gym Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the facility, including athlete and parent experience, staff leadership, membership growth, retention, facility operations, scheduling, and financial performance.
This role serves as the bridge between ownership, coaches, athletes, and families while ensuring the gym operates at the highest standard of professionalism, safety, and customer service.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage front desk staff, coaches, instructors, and support personnel.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop employees.
- Conduct staff meetings and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture.
- Ensure all staff adhere to company policies and standards.
Athlete & Parent Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service to athletes and families.
- Resolve concerns professionally and promptly.
- Maintain strong communication with parents regarding programs, events, competitions, and policies.
- Support athlete retention and enrollment growth initiatives.
Operations Management
- Oversee daily gym operations and facility readiness.
- Ensure the facility remains clean, organized, safe, and welcoming.
- Manage class schedules, team schedules, private lessons, and facility utilization.
- Maintain compliance with all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and facility repairs.
Enrollment & Revenue Growth
- Drive athlete enrollment and retention strategies.
- Track inquiries, tours, and conversion rates.
- Support marketing initiatives, community outreach, and special events.
- Assist with team placements, evaluations, and registration periods.
- Monitor membership trends and recommend growth opportunities.
Financial Accountability
- Manage labor schedules and staffing budgets.
- Monitor payroll hours and labor percentages.
- Assist with budgeting and financial reporting.
- Track KPIs including:
- Enrollment Growth
- Athlete Retention
- Revenue Performance
- Labor Percentage
- Customer Satisfaction
- Program Profitability
Cheer & Gymnastics Program Support
- Coordinate competition registrations and event logistics.
- Assist with meet and competition preparation.
- Ensure athletes and families receive accurate information regarding events, travel, and schedules.
- Work alongside program directors to support athlete development pathways.
QualificationsRequired
- 3+ years of management experience.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Experience with scheduling, customer service, and operations management.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based software systems.
Preferred
- Experience in All-Star Cheerleading, Competitive Gymnastics, Dance, or Youth Sports.
- Experience managing a youth sports facility.
- Knowledge of athlete development programs.
- Familiarity with registration and gym management software.
- Sales, marketing, or membership growth experience.

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Base Salary: $60,000 – $80,000+ annually (based on experience)
