Position Overview
Build and run Vector Sports’ Advanced Baseball Hitting Program — a data-driven, assessment-first hitting development environment serving athletes from youth through college/professional. You’ll coach in the cage, manage hitting staff, design individualized programs, and serve as the key liaison between the hitting program and the S&C team.
What You’ll do
- Hire, develop, and schedule hitting coaches and interns — including training on HitTrax, Trajekt, Rapsodo, TrackMan, and video analysis tools
- Conduct comprehensive hitter assessments: swing mechanics (high-speed video), exit velo, bat speed/attack angle, and approach tendencies
- Identify physical limiters in the swing and produce written S&C Referral Summaries for every assessed athlete
- Design individualized, periodized hitting programs across all levels (youth through college) — covering mechanics, bat speed, barrel skills, and pitch recognition
- Deliver private lessons and run small-group training, clinics, and camps throughout the year
- Meet regularly with the S&C Director to align on shared athletes’ physical development needs
- Track athlete progress with data benchmarks and produce end-of-block reports with mechanical and performance insights
Qualifications
- 3–5 years full-time hitting instruction experience (high school, travel/club, collegiate, or pro level)
- Proficient with HitTrax, Rapsodo, Blast Motion, or equivalent hitting tech platforms
- Strong understanding of how physical attributes (mobility, rotational power, strength) show up in swing mechanics
- Experience instructing athletes across ages and skill levels; softball background a plus
- Preferred: collegiate/pro playing or coaching experience, S&C collaboration background, clinic/camp design experience

Pay: $50,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
