Join our growing outpatient physical therapy clinic as a skilled and compassionate Acupuncturist, expanding our integrative rehabilitation services. Our clinic provides care through medical insurance contracts, cash-based services, and personal injury lien-based cases. We are seeking a practitioner who can collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, motor vehicle accidents, work-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions.
In this role, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized acupuncture treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based care that complements physical therapy interventions. Your expertise will play a key role in pain management, neuromuscular recovery, and functional restoration.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including review of medical history, injury mechanism (including personal injury cases), and coordination with physical therapists and referring providers
- Develop individualized acupuncture treatment plans aligned with rehabilitation goals and functional outcomes
- Provide acupuncture treatments using sterile technique and precise needle placement to address musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic symptoms, inflammation, and stress-related conditions
- Integrate trigger point therapy, myofascial release concepts, and pain modulation strategies to complement physical therapy plans of care
- Collaborate with physical therapists and administrative staff to ensure proper documentation for insurance billing and lien-based personal injury cases
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation to support medical necessity for insurance reimbursement and legal documentation when required
- Educate patients on recovery timelines, home care strategies, ergonomic modifications, and wellness practices
- Ensure adherence to clinic policies, HIPAA compliance, aseptic techniques, and required certifications (CPR/BLS)
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinical environment focused on exceptional patient outcomes
Qualifications & Experience
- Licensed Acupuncturist in good standing (state licensure required)
- Graduation from an accredited acupuncture program
- Current CPR and BLS Certification
- Experience in outpatient orthopedic, sports medicine, or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Experience working with personal injury and lien-based cases strongly preferred
- Understanding of insurance-based practice models and documentation requirements for medical necessity
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, physiology, and pain management principles
- Experience with trigger point therapy and treatment of acute and chronic orthopedic conditions
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills and professional bedside manner
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
