We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team at Twin Falls High School as an Activities Director. This full-time position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing a variety of extracurricular activities and events that enhance student engagement and promote a positive school culture. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that aligns with the school’s mission and goals.
  • Organize and oversee school events, including sports competitions, clubs, assemblies, and community outreach programs.
  • Collaborate with faculty, administration, and student leaders to promote student participation in activities.
  • Manage budgets for activities and events, ensuring financial accountability and resource allocation.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers involved in extracurricular programs.
  • Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of activities and events, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students, encouraging diversity in participation.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, students, and the community regarding upcoming events and activities.
  • Maintain compliance with school policies, district regulations, and state laws regarding student activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between the school and external organizations or sponsors to enhance program offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Sports Management, Recreation, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in event planning, program management, or a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students and staff.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using technology and software for scheduling, budgeting, and communication.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to school activities and student safety.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by events.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
