Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Accountant-Controller role based in Kapuskasing, Ontario. The Accountant-Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, handling accounts payable and receivable, supporting audits, and providing financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Financial Analysis
- Proficiency in Accounting Practices, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
- Experience with Compliance and Audit Processes
- Proficiency in Accounting Software and Excel
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA) and/or a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in a retail environment is an asset
