Overview

As the Academy Director at Al-Qadsiah Club, you will lead the strategic, operational, and cultural development of the club’s women’s academy programme. You will be responsible for creating a clear player development pathway, implementing a unified football methodology, and developing high-performing coaches and staff to produce players capable of progressing into senior football.

Key Responsibilities Leadership and Strategy

  • Define and implement the academy’s long‑term vision in alignment with the club’s football philosophy
  • Lead all academy operations across the U11–U17 age groups, ensuring excellence in coaching, performance, and player care
  • Build a high‑performance culture centred on development, discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Manage academy staffing structures, recruitment processes, and performance reviews
  • Collaborate with senior team staff to ensure alignment in playing philosophy and player progression pathways

Coaching and Coach Development

  • Design and oversee a comprehensive coach development programme across all age groups
  • Mentor and support coaches through observation, feedback, and CPD delivery
  • Ensure coaching delivery aligns with the academy’s game model and methodology
  • Develop coaching competencies and progression frameworks for staff
  • Promote modern, evidence‑based coaching practices throughout the programme

Player Development and Pathways

  • Establish and oversee a clear player pathway from U11 through to the senior team
  • Lead the implementation of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for all players
  • Ensure age‑appropriate development models are applied across technical, tactical, physical, and psychological domains
  • Lead talent identification and recruitment strategies within the region
  • Monitor player progression using performance data and development insights

Football Methodology

  • Develop and implement a club‑wide playing philosophy and training methodology across the academy
  • Ensure consistency in game model principles, session design, and coaching delivery
  • Align methodology with long‑term athlete development principles
  • Integrate physical development, athleticism, and injury prevention into training programmes
  • Continuously evolve academy methodology in line with global best practice while respecting local context

Performance and Multidisciplinary Integration

  • Work closely with medical, performance, and analysis teams to deliver holistic player development
  • Ensure alignment between physical development, technical and tactical training, player welfare, and load management
  • Implement monitoring systems to track training load, growth, maturation, and player readiness
  • Promote collaboration across all academy departments

Operations and Governance

  • Oversee academy scheduling, fixtures, and competition programmes
  • Ensure safeguarding, welfare, and compliance standards are consistently met
  • Manage academy budgets in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Represent the academy within federation, league, and external football structures

Qualifications

Desirable:

  • UEFA Pro Licence
  • Experience working within elite or international academy environments
  • Background in women’s football development
  • Knowledge of the Middle East and Saudi football landscape
  • Experience integrating performance science and data into development models

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential:

  • Proven leadership experience within a football academy environment
