Boys Academy Coordinator and Soccer Coach (U8–U14)

We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced coach to join our academy staff as Boys Academy Coordinator and Soccer Coach, overseeing the boys’ side of our academy programme (U8–U13). This is a leadership role that requires a combination of coaching expertise, organisational capacity, and strong interpersonal skills.

The Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coaching a set number of competitive travel teams, leading weekly training sessions, and actively contributing to the growth and structure of our academy. The position also includes important administrative and collaborative responsibilities.

There may also be the opportunity to work with one of our elite-level groups, based on experience, availability, and program needs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead high-quality training sessions for U10 (7v7) and U11 (9v9) travel teams, with a focus on development and team cohesion.

Collaborate with the Director of Coaching, Technical Director, and administrative team to ensure smooth coordination of programs and team logistics.

Support the design and implementation of academy-wide programming, both on and off the field.

Provide a consistent presence at training sessions and match days, primarily on weekday afternoons and weekends.

Maintain open communication with players, families, and fellow staff, ensuring a professional and supportive environment.

Embrace a broader academy role, contributing to afterschool sessions and seasonal camps as needed.

Take initiative in exploring additional leadership responsibilities, such as supporting or directing camps.

Ensure reliable access to transportation and maintain a flexible schedule to meet the academy’s programming needs.

Required Qualifications

Documented coaching experience with youth players in competitive settings (U8–U14).

Recognised coaching certification (e.g., USSF, UEFA, or equivalent).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with parents and maintaining a visible presence at academy events.

Patience, maturity, and genuine interest in youth development.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.

Willingness to learn and contribute beyond coaching, including administrative and organisational tasks.

References required to validate experience and coaching approach.
