Position Summary:
St. Hugo of the Hills Catholic School is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Volleyball Coaches for our 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade girls’ volleyball teams. Ideal candidates will serve as a positive role model and support the spiritual and athletic development of our student-athletes in alignment with our Catholic values. Coaching position is an 8-week commitment, with 10 games and practices twice per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct age-appropriate volleyball practices focused on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship
- Teach the fundamentals of volleyball including serving, passing, setting, and positioning
- Provide a safe and inclusive environment for all players
- Supervise players at all times during practices, games, and team events
- Attend all scheduled games, practices, and meetings
- Communicate clearly with players, parents, and school staff regarding schedules, expectations, and team progress
- Model Christian values and promote a positive, faith-based team culture
- Ensure compliance with school, league, and Archdiocesan policies and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Prior coaching or playing experience in volleyball (youth level preferred)
- Ability to work with and motivate children in grades 5th-8th
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Commitment to the mission and values of St. Hugo of the Hills Catholic School
- Must complete background check, Protecting God’s Children training, and all Archdiocesan requirements prior to coaching
